A Mother Level Doula Services (AMLDS) was founded by Casey D. Parker in 2019. Casey is a professional and experienced doula that provides physical, emotional, advocacy, and informational support to birthing moms and families throughout childbirth. This includes pregnancy, labor, and the postpartum period.
Casey understands that pregnancy and childbirth could be overwhelming periods for birthing moms, and families. And it has been a passion of hers to help these people through the process by properly educating and equipping them with the tools and knowledge needed for child delivery, postpartum, and infant care.
Reducing maternal health disparities is also a contributing factor to Casey’s choice of career. According to research, Black women die 4 times more likely than other races of women during childbirth. In the United States, over 700 women die from pregnancy-related complications. The alarming thing is that more than 60% of these deaths are preventable. Casey wants to help women of all races reduce the risk factors during childbirth, and also dwindle maternal mortality in communities with the lowest level of care.
For this reason and more, Casey decided to pursue her passion professionally by becoming a doula. She completed her Certified Doula Program in 2019 and since then never looked back to keep her passion flaming.
With over 5 years of experience in doula care, Casey has garnered lots of experience that has uniquely placed her in a position to support a wide range of birth experiences with understanding. She supports families who want autonomy in their birth experience and help them connect to birthing and parenting instinct that is already within. Throughout the process, she strives to attain results in which her clients feel confident and trust themselves to make choices they believe are best for themselves and the baby.
A Mother Level majorly operates in Connecticut, Maryland Virginia, and Washington DC. However, the territories are not limited. Casey is also a traveling doula and does live-ins as well. As a mum/parent, your birthing and postpartum experiences can affect you for the rest of your life, why risk it if you could look back on these times and remember that you had the best care and support anyone could ever have?
